Solange returns to Twitter after quitting over racism
Solange Knowles has returned to Twitter, six weeks after quitting the social media site to protest racism.
Beyonce's younger sister announced she would no longer use Twitter in August (17), days after an anti-racism campaigner was killed during a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
However on Thursday (28Sep170 the star returned to the site to praise "everyone" at her Orion's Rise show at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl on Sunday (24Sep17). Orion's Rise is a concert and performance piece based around her 2016 album A Seat at the Table.
"came (sic) back to day thank you to everyone who made Cosmic Journey (a track off the album) at Hollywood Bowl SO special....u guys made me fly," she wrote in her first post for more than a month.
In a follow-up tweet she also praised her backing performers for making the night "magical".
Solange previously wrote that she would delete her Twitter account as she was fed up with "racist" remarks made after the events in Charlottesville.
