Single Leonardo DiCaprio: 'My career sabotages every relationship'
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has been struggling to find the perfect girlfriend because he's never in one place long enough to settle into a relationship.
The Titanic hunk, who once dated Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bundchen, broke up with his longtime love Bar Refaeli in 2011 and, though he has been linked to a number of women since the split, including actress Blake Lively and model Erin Heatherton, his romantic life has been a non-starter - and DiCaprio is convinced his career is to blame.
The bachelor tells Esquire magazine, "Six months of being on
location or being off in Morocco or someplace like that is not the
best thing for a relationship."
However, the 38 year old refuses to complain about his busy
lifestyle because he knows he's lucky to be a working actor in
today's cut-throat society.
He adds, "Getting your foot in the door (in Hollywood) is like
winning the lottery. It's literally like winning the lottery if you
get to have a career. And I've always felt, 'OK, now I've gotten
this show, and I'm lucky to have gotten this show, and if I don't
do this to the best of my ability - if I don't work my a** off and
make a life of it - I've squandered this incredibly golden
opportunity.' And that's always been what has propelled me."
