Singer Ashley Monroe engaged

Country singer Ashley Monroe is set to become the latest member of the Pistol Annies to walk down the aisle after becoming engaged to her baseball player boyfriend.

Monroe's beau John Danks, who plays for the Chicago White Sox, proposed by spelling out the words 'Will you marry me?' in rose petals on their bed, and the singer subsequently shared her excitement with fans in a post on Twitter.com.

She posted a picture of the rose petal message and her engagement ring, with the caption, "I said yes... I'm engaged to my John Danks! Best night of my life!"

Monroe's Pistol Annies bandmate Miranda Lambert shared her joy following her friend's big announcement by writing in a post on Twitter.com, "All Annie's (sic) are off the market!"

The news comes not long after Pistol Annies star Angaleena Presley became a married woman in May (12).

She exchanged vows with Jordan Powell, who works as road manager for Lambert.
