Simon Cowell has pledged to help the victims of London's Grenfell Tower fire tragedy by releasing an all-star charity single.

The big-hearted music and TV mogul, who produced the charity single Everybody Hurts for the victims of the Haiti earthquake in 2010, has announced plans to assemble a host of famous pals to record a track to benefit those who lost everything in Wednesday morning's (14Jun17) blaze, which claimed the lives of at least 12 people.

"I am watching the footage of the Grenfell Tower fire in London. Heartbreaking," he tweeted on Thursday (15Jun17). "We hope to confirm a record tomorrow which will raise some money for the many people affected by this tragedy. Making calls tonight."

One singer he might be able to snag for the record is Adele, who paid an emotional visit to the site of the fire on Wednesday night (14Jun17), hugging victims and doing her best to offer "comfort" to those affected by the tragedy.

The 29-year-old singer was reportedly accompanied by husband Simon Konecki as she made her way round the area that has become a vigil site for victims.
