Shia LaBeouf 'slaps student in the face' during art project - report
Shia Labeouf allegedly slapped a student in the face during his live art exhibit inside an elevator at a university in England.
The Transformers star had been in the lift in Oxford, alongside his collaborators Nastja Sade Ronkko and Luke Turner, since 9am on Friday (19Feb16), with the art project, entitled #ELEVATE, due to end at 9am on Saturday (20Feb16).
Thousands of fans and students had queued for hours to meet the
Hollywood star, with one cheeky student wanting something a little
extra from Shia when he asked the actor to hit him.
Video footage of the incident, which was streamed live on YouTube,
showed an Oxford University student, who had queued for seven hours
to meet him, telling the actor, "I’m a performance artist. Can you
help me with completion of my next piece by punching me in the
face?"
Looking shocked, Shia replied, "Oh man, you want me to punch you in
the face? I don’t want to punch you very hard!" The student can be
then be seen goading the actor into hitting him, telling him,
"Don’t be a p**sy."
"I don’t like doing it though.... I just met you," Shia says,
before eventually giving him an audible slap. The occupants of the
lift can be heard laughing, but the hit itself was not seen as the
elevator doors were closed.
The student was clearly happy with his interaction with the actor,
however, as he was seen smiling leaving the elevator shortly after
being slapped.
A representative for Shia has not yet commented on the report.
