Shakira launching parenting app

Shakira is set to share her knowledge as a mother-of-two with a new mobile app focused on parenting.

The Hips Don't Lie singer and her Spanish soccer star beau Gerard Pique are parents to Milan, two, and Sasha, nine months, and Shakira is using what she's learned as a mom to create an online resource for other parents.

"I'm always online looking for advice and learning about being a mother," she tells Yahoo.com. "I know there are other moms who are also looking for tips and suggestions. That’s the idea behind it.

"Moms can use the app to find ideas and support, and teachers can also use it to guide and plan their curriculum to help kids learn."

The Grow app will feature more than 2,000 tips for mothers, including articles on parenting, ideas for play and advice on raising kids. The app will be available later this autumn (15).
