Selena Gomez: 'Gig tears were not for Bieber'

Selena Gomez has assured fans the tears she shed at a Brooklyn, New York show on Wednesday (16Oct13) were not for her ex, Justin Bieber, but because she couldn't stop to pose for pictures after the gig.

Media outlets suggested the 21-year-old singer's emotions got the better of her as she sang her ballad Love Will Remember, which is reportedly about her split from Bieber, but she now insists she broke down out of frustration, not lost love.

Explaining her action in a tweet on Thursday (17Oct13), Gomez writes, "Never ended such a beautiful show in tears because they wouldn't allow me to Instagram tonight. Completely heartbroken and p**sed. Thank you SO much Brooklyn... I love you guys more than you know. Promise."

The Come & Get It singer has made it a tradition to stop and take photos with fans after concerts - but she was not permitted to do so on Wednesday night.
