Sean Kingston's lawyer denies The Game's snitching allegations
Sean Kingston's lawyer has dismissed allegations the R&B singer named rapper The Game as a suspect in a police investigation into the theft of his necklace.
The Beautiful Girls star claims he was beaten up and robbed of his $300,000 chain during a night out at the Penthouse Nightclub & Dayclub in Los Angeles in June (16).
He reported the incident to police officials, who are still looking
into the crime, but the case hit headlines last week (ends16Sep16)
after The Game alleged he had been questioned by detectives over
rumours of his involvement.
He took to social media and repeatedly blasted rival rapper Meek
Mill for allegedly telling Kingston The Game had helped to organise
the robbery, accusations the Dreams hitmaker has strongly
denied.
Now Kingston's lawyer, Michelle Iarusso, has attempted to put an
end to the feud by making it clear Sean hasn't even spoken to cops
since filing his initial report.
"At no time did my client bring up The Game during the
investigation," she tells TMZ.com. "In fact, (Sean), to date, has
not even spoken to any member of the LAPD regarding this
incident."
A copy of the police report, obtained by TMZ, also makes no mention
of The Game.
Police officials have yet to provide an update on the jewellery
theft case, but Kingston launched a negligence lawsuit against club
bosses in July (16), alleging their security guards were behind the
burglary.
Kingston is seeking a minimum of $900,000 in the lawsuit.
