Scarlett Johansson set for Israel visit
SodaStream bosses are planning to give actress Scarlett Johansson a guided tour of their Israeli headquarters this year (14) following the backlash she received over their business partnership.
The Lost in Translation beauty has been caught in a furore after signing up to appear in the beverage firm's new advertising campaign, with critics slamming her decision because the company is based in the Middle Eastern state.
The actress resigned from her eight-year role as Oxfam Ambassador
on Thursday (30Jan14) in the fallout from the row, and now company
president Yonah Lloyd wants to take her to their HQ in Israel to
show her around the site.
He tells The Jerusalem Post, "She has never been to Israel before.
We look forward to hosting her later in the year."
Johansson began her partnership with Oxfam in 2007, raising
awareness of global poverty during trips to India and Kenya.
