Sam Smith hints at recording Bond theme

Singer Sam Smith has fueled rumors he has recorded the theme tune for the new James Bond movie by posting a picture of a ring emblazoned with the film's logo on a social media site.

The Stay with Me hitmaker has been linked to the coveted job for months, but in July (15) he denied being involved with the film, stating, "It's definitely not me!"

Smith added, "People seem to think I'm doing it but I have no idea what's going on. I'm being deadly serious. I think I would know by now. I heard Ellie Goulding was going to do it."

However, on Monday (07Sep15), the 23 year old took to Instagram.com with a picture of him wearing a ring sporting the Spectre octopus logo.

Smith's photo was not accompanied by a caption and he has yet to comment on the new rumors.
