Romeo Santos to regroup Aventura for New York shows
Latino pin-up Romeo Santos is reteaming with his former group Aventura for a series of shows in February (16).
The bachata stars have lined up a handful of New York gigs to officially say farewell to fans.
Formed in The Bronx in 1993 by Santos and his relatives Henry
Santos, Lenny Santos and Max Santos, the band separated in 2011 to
allow Romeo and Henry Santos to embark on solo careers.
Their bandmates joined Steve Styles from Xtreme to form a new
group, called Vena.
Romeo Santos has always made it clear his band didn't split, and
was simply "on pause", and now the quartet is coming back together
for a handful of final shows.
Romeo last performed onstage with his bandmates in 2014, when they
reunited to close out the second night of his Yankee Stadium
concert run.
A spokesperson for the group tells Billboard.com all the reunion
shows will take place in New York.
