Rocknroll's ex-wife approves of Winslet romance

Ned Rocknroll's ex-wife has given her blessing to his new romance with actress Kate Winslet, despite the "pain" and "sadness" she felt when she first learned of the relationship.

Winslet recently went public with her new boyfriend Rocknroll, the nephew of British entrepreneur Richard Branson, who legally changed his name from Ned Abel Smith.

His ex-wife Eliza Pearson has now spoken out about their split earlier this year (11), revealing she is happy to see her former partner move on with the Titanic star.

She tells Britain's Mail on Sunday, "My reaction when Ned told me he had found someone else - and that it was Kate Winslet - was that it was painful, but that's what was beautiful about it.

"Honestly, that's how I felt. I had made the decision to separate - that was my responsibility. I really wanted the best for him. It was a mixture of feeling pain and the sadness of the loss but also deep happiness that he was happy.

"We're all good friends - it's all a big loving space. I'm not sure if I'll meet them yet. I think it will be hard - it's all quite fresh... I love him as much as I always did but that doesn't mean we need to have a relationship."
