Rocco Ritchie lands new job delivering take out meals - report
Madonna and Guy Ritchie's teenage son Rocco has reportedly started a part-time job in food delivery.
The 16-year-old, who now lives with his filmmaker dad in London, has been delivering meals for British mobile app Deliveroo, which allows customers to place take out orders with top restaurants and have the food arrive promptly on their doorstep, according to reports.
"It's been a bit of a laugh for him and a way to placate his mom
and dad until he works out what he wants to do," a source tells The
Sun on Sunday. "They both agree a bit of discipline and a schedule
would do him good, whether that comes from voluntary work or
something low paid."
The insider adds Rocco Ritchie has also taken an interest in
"working in a local gardening center".
The news emerges three months after Rocco was busted for marijuana
possession in London's posh Primrose Hill neighborhood. Officers
reportedly received a tip-off about the youngster's drug habit by
his dad's concerned neighbors, and he was caught with a stash of
pot in his backpack.
He escaped a criminal record for the 28 September (16) offense,
although reports suggest a record of the legal run-in, which only
hit headlines in November (16), was officially noted.
Pop superstar Madonna subsequently issued a statement about the
incident, branding it a "family matter".
"I love my son very much," she added. "I will do whatever I can to
give him the support that he needs, and I ask that you respect our
privacy at this time."
Director Guy has yet to comment on the matter.
Rocco has been primarily living with his dad in London after his
parents put an end to their nearly year-long custody battle in
September (16). The feud was sparked in December, 2015 after the
teen refused to return to his mother's home in New York City
following a winter break in the U.K. with his father.
