Robert Plant obtains temporary restraining order against fan
Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has obtained a temporary restraining order against an overzealous fan he alleges is a threat to his safety.
The Stairway To Heaven hitmaker claims Alysson Billings has been harassing him for over three years and believes that they are in a relationship, despite Plant insisting the pair has never met.
In legal documents obtained by editors at TMZ.com, the rocker
alleges that Billings constantly sends him flowers, random
packages, leaves hotel keys for him and has repeatedly appeared at
his concerts all over the world.
However, Billings' obsession has taken a dark turn since he started
a relationship with current girlfriend Patty Griffin, reportedly
sending him threatening messages such as, "Your betrayal with
another woman still stabs my mind," and, "This woman is literally
evil for you and your life... you are about to fall for that dirty
old crotch. And I'm not joking, I cannot, will not, shall not live
this way anymore."
Plant even hired security assessment experts who supported his
assertion that Billings is a threat to his safety.
