Rihanna is offering a lucky fan the chance to attend her star-studded Diamond Ball as part of a new fundraising campaign for her Clara Lionel Foundation.

The singer is hosting the third annual Diamond Ball gala to raise funds for her charity, named after her grandparents, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York on 14 September (17). Kendrick Lamar and Calvin Harris will serve as performers while Dave Chappelle will act as the evening's host.

She is now offering a friend and her pal the chance to attend the extravaganza by donating to the foundation's Dollar Campaign, which will go towards the global education, health and emergency response programs the charity supports.

Every dollar equals one entry into the ballot, so those who donate more have a better chance at winning the prize, which also includes travel to New York and a stay in a hotel.

On the campaign's webpage, viewers are informed about what their donation could achieve, such as, "$1 - could provide 1 brick to a school in Malawi", "$10 - could provide 10 books" and "$20 - could provide a month of schooling for a girl".

Rihanna set up the foundation in 2012 to help impoverished communities across the globe and in February she was honored with the Humanitarian of the Year Award by Harvard University.

At the end of her speech, she said, “You should do whatever you can to help in any way that you can. And today, I want to challenge each of you to make a commitment to help one person, one organization, one situation that touches your heart. My grandmother always used to say if you got a dollar there’s plenty to share (sic)."

Earlier in August, her foundation partnered with bike-sharing platform ofo in Malawi to provide bicycles to students in a bid to help them get to school.
