Rihanna attends grandmother's wake

Rihanna paid her respects to her beloved grandmother at a private wake in New York City on Thursday (05Jul12).

The Umbrella hitmaker has cleared her schedule to be with her family following the death of maternal grandma Clara 'Dolly' Braithwaite, who lost her cancer battle at the weekend (30Jun-01Jul12).

Rihanna visited the Frank E. Campbell funeral home in Manhattan to mourn her loss, and later took to her Twitter.com page to share her sadness.

She tweeted, "Dry cry, even tears... Even my heart cry but who cares?! Words can't explain, the essence of her beauty. You and you alone, no other one... You keep me warm... Just one of those days."
