Rapper Rich Homie Quan has been booked for misdemeanor battery after turning himself in to police in Florida over a scuffle with a nighclub bouncer.

The hip-hop star, real name Dequantes Lamar, and his entourage stand accused of attacking Christian Cajigas outside the LIV venue in Miami Beach last month (Mar15). The security guard suffered a bloodied lip and chipped teeth in the altercation.

Cajigas filed a police report following the incident, in which he claimed the rapper fled on a boat after the scuffle.

Rich Homie Quan denied any involvement in the fight last week (ends03Apr15), claiming he had been on the boat during the entire fracas, telling TMZ.com, "I'm innocent! Innocent until proven guilty, it's all rumors, I never touched him. I was on the boat the whole time, getting drunk."

However, cops still wanted to question the star and on Wednesday (08Apr15) he surrendered to authorities.

He was subsequently taken into custody and booked for the battery charge.

Cajigas has also filed a civil suit against Quan, seeking unspecified damages.
