Rebel Wilson witnessed Russell Crowe's temper

Rebel Wilson once witnessed Russell Crowe's notorious temper in person when he allegedly swore at her for approaching him in a restaurant.

The funnywoman spotted Russell Crowe dining with his friend Nicole Kidman in Sydney, Australia, and went up to the duo to thank the Moulin Rouge! actress for sponsoring her drama training with a grant.

As patron of the Australian Theater For Young People, Nicole Kidman helped fund Rebel Wilson's education, but the Bridesmaids star didn't get a chance to express her gratitude because fiery Crowe cut her off.

Recalling the encounter on TV series The Tonight Show, Rebel Wilson says, "I won the Nicole Kidman Scholarship and I got to go to New York to study comedy. And Nicole Kidman paid for everything. Like an apartment, going to see Broadway shows... she doesn't know about that!

"So one time in Sydney, I saw her having dinner with Russell Crowe and I go, 'OK, now's my chance! I'm going to say thank you.' I went up to them, but before I could say anything, Russell Crowe just turns to me and says, 'F**k off! F**k off!' so I just put my head down and walked away. But... thanks Nicole! It's a true story."

When host Jay Leno suggested she may one day get the chance to meet him again, Rebel Wilson quipped, "Maybe I'll go up to him and he'll just turn to me and go... 'F**k off!' Maybe."
