Rebel Wilson tackled swing stunt over body double woes

Rebel Wilson had to shoot a daring high-wire swing scene herself because producers on the set of Pitch Perfect 2 could not find a body double for the plus-size actress.

The Australian star reprises her Fat Amy character in the musical comedy sequel, and viewers will see her make a grand entrance with a treacherous athletic routine on a lofty swing made of ribbons.

Wilson has now revealed she had no choice but to perform the daunting stunt herself because there was no lookalike among the crew.

She tells U.K. talk show host Graham Norton, "It was only 40 seconds of the movie but I trained for five weeks for it. Looking at me you wouldn't think I have any natural aerial acrobatic abilities... and I don't! And I'm deathly afraid of heights. But if I couldn't do it there was no stunt double my size and it couldn't be the opening of the movie so I thought, 'I'll have to do it for comedy even if I die!'"
