Rebel Wilson honored at U.K.'s Cosmopolitan Awards

Australian actress Rebel Wilson landed the top honor at the 2015 Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women Awards on Wednesday night (02Dec15).

The Bridesmaids star was named the year's (15) Ultimate Woman by editors of the U.K. publication, who feted the world's most influential females with prizes during a ceremony at One Mayfair in London.

During her acceptance speech, Rebel thanked the magazine editors for publishing articles full of sex tips because she "went to a Christian all girl's high school and I didn't know a lot."

However, the Australian star also doled out her own advice, telling the audience, "My biggest tip is just to be confident in the skin you're in. None of us choose what we have, we're born with it. It's all about what's up here (in your head) and what's down here (in your heart).

"My biggest advice is to find out what you're passionate about and work out a way to make money from that. Life is short, have fun and do what you want to do."

Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher was lauded with the Ultimate Icon award, British pop stars Little Mix were named Ultimate Girl Group prize and Jess Glynne was feted as the Ultimate Solo Artist.
