Reality star Jason Wahler reveals suicidal past
U.S. reality TV regular Jason Wahler considered ending his life following his difficult battle with alcohol addiction.
The former The Hills star has had an extremely troublesome past, including six arrests, jail time and multiple Driving Under the Influence (DUI) charges.
However the 26 year old finally cleaned up his act and has been
sober for the past three years, and he is now using his new outlook
on life to empower other addicts to seek help.
In a blog post for the Huffington Post, Wahler opens up about his
addiction, which made him suffer some dark thoughts.
He writes, "Behind the scenes, my addiction had led me to the
deepest, darkest places. I continued to get into legal trouble, and
I even tried to take my own life. I was convinced that I had it all
- backpacks full of cash, girls, fame, cars, you name it.
"I was so uncomfortable in my own skin that I contemplated suicide
a number of times, and even attempted it once. I took 10 times more
(anti-alcohol drug) antabuse than I was supposed to in an effort to
take my own life, but was saved after being rushed to the hospital
and receiving treatment for my overdose. That was about four years
ago, and I have now been sober for three."

companion, married model Ashley Slack this past Saturday
