Pretty Little Liars producer invites Olympic gymnasts to set
Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles has gleefully accepted an invitation to visit the set of hit TV drama Pretty Little Liars from creator I. Marlene King.
The gymnast has been open about her love for the teen series and after winning her second gold medal in the women's individual all-around competition at the Rio Olympics on Thursday (11Aug16), King reached out to Simone and her Final Five teammates to express her admiration.
"Hey Simone, I heard you are a PLL fan, well we are huge fans of
yours and everybody there," she gushed in a video posted on
Twitter. "We're so proud of what you're doing in Rio. Come see us
as soon as you get home and bring your friends!"
King's invitation was reposted on the official Pretty Little Liars
Twitter page, alongside the message: "Hey @Simone_Biles!
@imarleneking wants you & the #FinalFive to come to PLL set when
you get back - are you in?"
The excited 19-year-old happily responded, "Yes x27238833 times,"
to which King replied, "So proud of you and the #FinalFive. See you
in Rosewood @Simone_Biles @PPLTVSeries."
King is not Biles' only fan in Hollywood - her movie crush Zac
Efron has also been cheering her on via social media, while Taylor
Swift, Uzo Aduba, and Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton have
been sending congratulatory notes online, too.
The Final Five gymnasts have dominated in Brazil - they won gold in
the women's team all-around on Tuesday (09Aug16) and Simone was
joined on Thursday's podium by teammate Aly Raisman, who took home
the silver for Team USA.
