Paul McCartney pays musical tribute to amp pioneer Marshall
Sir Paul McCartney has paid tribute to guitar amp pioneer Jim Marshall by posting footage of an impromptu jamming session online.
The Marshall Amplification founder died at the age of 88 earlier this month (Apr12), and stars including Slash and Huey Morgan were quick to recognise the rock icon.
Beatles legend McCartney has now added his own tribute by uploading
a video of himself playing guitar during a session with some of his
musical pals to his official YouTube.com stream.
In the clip, he says, "This goes to to the family and the friends
of Jim Marshall, who passed away recently. The great Jim Marshall,
founder of Marshall Amps. Jim made it loud. We wanna thank
everybody, we wanna thank all his family, we wanna thank Jim
mainly. Man, we love you. Our tribute to you..."
