Ozzy Osbourne admits drink and drugs relapse
Ozzy Osbourne is battling his demons once again after suffering a drug and alcohol relapse.
The rock legend has famously battled substance abuse issues throughout his life, but tackled his addictions in rehab in 2003.
Osbourne has now admitted to fans that he fell off the wagon 18
months ago, but has been sober for the last 44 days.
In a post on his official Facebook.com page he writes, "For the
last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was
in a very dark place and was an a**hole to the people I love most,
my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days
sober."
The Black Sabbath frontman also tackles persistent speculation that
his marriage to Sharon Osbourne is on the rocks, adding, "Just to
set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I’m just
trying to be a better person. I would like to apologize to Sharon,
my family, my friends and my bandmates for my insane behavior
during this period... and my fans. God bless, Ozzy."
The admission comes days before Black Sabbath is set to begin a
worldwide tour in Auckland, New Zealand on 20 April (13).
