One Direction stars banned from slot machines over age concerns
Written by . Published: April 13 2013
One Direction stars Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson were banned from playing on slot machines at a U.K. service station this week (begs08Apr13) because they could not prove they are older enough to gamble.
The boyband was heading to Glasgow, Scotland for a show when they made a stop at the Abington services on the M74 motorway.
Liam Payne, 19, and 21-year-old Louis Tomlinson headed for the
games, but they were not allowed to play as they could not produce
identification to prove they are over 18.
Employee Ann Fuller tells Britain's The Sun, "I was just doing my
job. I'd heard of One Direction but only found out it was them when
a colleague later said, 'Somebody's thrown out the most popular
boyband in the world'."
