Noah Cyrus Listens To Dad Billy Ray's Music 'All The Time'

Written by . Published: March 22 2017

Noah Cyrus is so "obsessed" with her father Billy Ray's music she has asked the country legend for permission to use one of his songs on her debut album.

The 17-year-old sister of singer Miley is preparing to launch her own music career, and will be releasing her first record NC-17 later this year (17).

When it comes to finding her sound, Noah is exploring a variety of genres, and turned to her country singer father Billy for help collating tracks for the record.

"I’m Nineties Billy Ray Cyrus’s biggest fan. I have T-shirts, posters, anything you can imagine. I am obsessed. I listen to his music all the time," she smiled during an interview with Britain's The Sun newspaper. "Him and his friend wrote a song together and it’s beautiful.

"I took it to the producer Dan Wilson, and I was like, ‘Let’s turn this country record into a pop ballad.’ So most likely that will be on the album."

A collaboration with Billy could also be on the cards in the future, with Noah adding it would be "dope" to team up with her dad on a tune.

It remains to be seen whether or not Noah will take inspiration from sister Miley in terms of her headline-grabbing antics, such as when she twerked up against Robin Thicke during a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards back in 2013.

However, while she doesn't know if she will go down the provocative route herself, Noah is still a massive fan of her sister's behavior, and backs her no matter what she does.

"I’m like, ‘Go girl, get it, do your thing, shake it'," she smiled. "I wouldn’t say my music is as ‘racy’ but I’m not against it. I’m quite young so I’m not going to be stripping it down."
