Neil Patrick Harris honored for Broadway performance
Neil Patrick Harris picked up an award for his turn on Broadway at a theater prizegiving on Friday (16May14).
The How I Met Your Mother star was honored with the Distinguished Performance Award for his run in rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which also won Distinguished Revival of a Musical at the 2014 Drama League Awards.
The actor picked up the trophy at the annual luncheon ceremony in
New York, which was also attended by Daniel Radcliffe, Denzel
Washington, Zachary Quinto and Chris O'Dowd.
All The Way, which stars Bryan Cranston as former President Lyndon
B. Johnson, was awarded the Distinguished Play accolade and The
Glass Menagerie, starring Quinto, was named Distinguished Revival
of a Play.
Harris has also been nominated for a Tony Award for his Broadway
role. The winners will be announced on 8 June (14).
