Naturi Naughton expecting first child

Singer/actress Naturi Naughton is pregnant with her first child.

The former 3LW singer, who currently appears in Starz TV series Power, and her longtime boyfriend Ben are due to become parents in July (17).

The 32-year-old announced the pregnancy to People and posed for shots which showed her cupping her bump while wearing a fuchsia sweater top and black trousers and posing in a dressing room.

“It’s been a little surreal, but I feel really good, healthy and strong,” she said. “It’s a really amazing responsibility, but it’s such a blessing and that to me is worth more than anything I can imagine.

“I feel like being pregnant and entering this new stage has made me stronger and more excited about life in general. Everything seems so much more purposeful."

Naughton was taken by surprise when she found out she was expecting while in the middle of filming Power and she praised her co-stars, especially onscreen husband Omari Hardwick, for keeping the news quiet and being supportive.

She has also been eating healthier since finding out her baby news, with the exception of one naughty craving.

“I love kale, I love strawberries and pineapples, but I’m not proud of this … I’ve been eating Cup Noodles," she confessed. "I really want salty, spicy things, and Cup Noodles has been really awesome. I haven’t had one since college!”

The singer, who is also known for playing Lil' Kim in Notorious B.I.G. drama Notorious and her role in the 2009 Fame remake has not revealed the baby's gender.
