Motley Crue and Kiss brave floods to play for fans
Motley Crue and Kiss braved severe weather conditions in Alabama on Tuesday (31Jul12) to perform for fans in the rain-soaked state.
The rockers arrived at the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Birmingham for another date on their joint tour to find the surrounding land had flooded following heavy rainfall.
Motley Crue star Nikki Sixx uploaded snaps of the water-logged
venue on his Twitter.com page, with one picture showing their tour
truck struggling to get through through the deluge, alongside the
caption, "1 of our truck drivers got bit (sic) by a water moccasin
(snake) getting out of the truck."
The doors opened to the public slightly late due to the wet
weather, but the bands went ahead with the show and thrilled fans
with their classic hits.
After the gig, Sixx wrote on Twitter, "Killer night Birmingham, off
to Louisville, Kentucky."
