Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie welcome daughter
Morena Baccarin has given birth to a baby girl.
The 36-year-old actress and her Gotham co-star Ben McKenzie, 37, welcomed daughter Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan into the world earlier this month, it has been revealed.
“Morena and Ben are so happy to welcome baby girl Frances Laiz
Setta Schenkkan on March 2,” the couple's representatives Jennifer
Allen and Rhett Usry told USA Today. “All are happy and healthy and
appreciate the well-wishes."
The baby's weight and place of birth were not revealed.
Both Ben and Morena have remained silent on their social networking
pages since the birth, apart from a couple of tweets about their
hit television show Gotham.
Ben recently revealed he has been kept busy shooting episodes for
the current second season, so he's anxious every morning about
leaving Morena and heading to the set.
"It feels good," the former The O.C. stars tells breakfast show
Today of his impending fatherhood. "It's a little terrifying but
it's very exciting.
"Every day I leave the house and I go to work and I say (to
Morena), 'No baby today! No baby today! Wait for the weekend!'
That's the plan, then that way I can be there for 24 to 48 hours.
We're still shooting (the show)."
The pair began dating last summer (15), but didn't go public with
the romance until Morena confirmed the relationship in court papers
linked to her ongoing divorce and custody battle with her estranged
husband, director and screenwriter Austin Chick - the father of her
two-year-old son Julius, two. Austin filed to end the couple's
four-year marriage last June (15).
