Momoa's tears after scary horse incident

Action man Jason Momoa broke down in tears on the set of the Conan The Barbarian remake after a horse almost crushed him during one harrowing scene.

The actor plays savage warrior Conan in the upcoming revamp and was racing on horseback when he was thrown from his mount and the animal then fell to the ground close to his body.

Momoa was so shaken by the near-miss he had to retreat to his trailer for a tearful phone call to his loved ones.

He tells Britain's Sunday Mail, "When we were running at 25 miles an hour, the horse lost its footing and flipped over. As he lost his front feet, I slid off his neck and he went backside over.

"I was already on the ground when I could see the horse coming at me and I slid away just as the horse went 'boom' - about two feet away from crushing me. Afterwards, I went to my trailer and phoned my family, cried, poured a Scotch and didn't come out for a while."
