Miley Cyrus teased MTV bosses with naked routine talk

Miley Cyrus has revealed she teased MTV bosses about baring all during her show-stopping performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The pop star stunned viewers and became the talk of the awards show when she stripped off to flesh-colored underwear for a raunchy performance with Robin Thicke, but she admits she was tempted to go much further.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday (11Oct13), the provocative former child star said she was considering flashing even more flesh onstage at the Barclays Center in New York.

She explained, "MTV threatened to dead-air me, so I couldn't come out in the full birthday suit. I had to put something on. So nude latex always works."

And Miley admitted she can't believe people are still talking about her VMAs routine over a month after the show, during which she 'twerked' onstage and gyrated her backside into Robin Thicke's crotch, while making sexually suggestive hand and face gestures, her tongue hanging out.

She added, "I can't really understand where the shock comes from. I know that sounds crazy but I can't really understand it because…I don't see anything more than what any real artist did that night.

"I mean Lady Gaga was in a thong - and no one cared!"

Cyrus also attempted to explain the cuddly gray bear bikini outfit she wore for the first part of her VMAs routine, which she donned again for her hosting stint on Saturday Night Live last weekend (05Oct13), stating, "I wanted to be a bear, but also somewhat of an adult baby... because I have an obsession with being an adult baby."
