Melissa Gilbert's still suffering from dance injury
Melissa Gilbert's future on Dancing With The Stars is in doubt as the actress is still suffering since hitting her head during her performance on Monday's (09Apr12) show.
The former Little House on The Prairie star was taken to hospital after she injured herself during a routine with professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
She was diagnosed with concussion and mild whiplash, and missed out
on Tuesday's (10Apr12) results show to recover at home.
However, Chmerkovskiy reveals he will ban the star from taking part
in next week's (begs16Apr12) show if she is not feeling better in
the next few days.
He tells People.com, "She's in pain. She's got a big headache. The
doctors said she has a minor concussion, and I know that's really
unpleasant.
"I think we are coming back. I'm pretty sure. It's not up to me,
it's up to her, (but) I haven't heard talks of not coming back.
Although, if she wakes up tomorrow and continues to have a
headache, I won't let her in the studio.
"We owe it to our fans to give them a reason to vote for us. I've
always been very vocal about how you have to earn your stripes. But
I'm not sure if this is the right strategy this season, because
it's clearly not appreciated.
"Honestly, at this point, I'm not really sure if it's worth killing
yourself and trying to put on a show."
