Megan Fox: 'I used to dread the big 3-0'
Actress Megan Fox used to fear the 30th birthday.
The Transformers beauty hits the age marker in May (16), and admits she no longer dreads becoming a 30-something.
"When you're young, that sounds so old," she explained during an
appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (09Feb16). "When
you're in high school or even when you're in your early 20s, it
still sounds like, 'By the time I'm 30, I should just give up.
What's the point of going on at that age?'"
Now Megan is on the verge of a new decade, she has realised she
feels exactly the same as she did a few years ago.
"What makes it even weirder is that you don't feel any different,"
she continued. "And then you turn 30... (and) you don't feel any
older at all."
However, Megan put her foot in it when Ellen, 58, started
discussing her own age.
"I agree with you," she said. "Because when I was younger, I would
think somebody 50, 60 years old was, you know, just like..."
"In a hospice?" Megan asked. "I'm just saying! When you're young,
that's what you think."
Megan has achieved a lot before reaching her 30th birthday both
professionally and personally - appearing in blockbuster movies and
becoming a mum of two with ex-husband Brian Austin Green's
kids.
The couple split in August (15), but both stars have made their
son's Noah, three, and Bodhi, 23 months, their top priority.
During her chat with Ellen, Megan revealed her little boys have a
cute fascination with mum's kimono collection.
"I have a few drawers full," she laughed. "I don't know exactly how
many that is... My kids love it, especially Noah. He finds that to
be a very magical thing when I float down the stairs in my silk
kimono. He's very taken by that, and that's sort of an image I like
to brand into him."
