McFly fans warned against flyposting

Mcfly fans have been warned against illegal bill-sticking after they were encouraged to put up posters as part of a competition to meet the band.

The group has teamed up with the Teenage Cancer Trust charity to launch a competition to raise money for drummer Harry Judd, who will be running the London Marathon later this month (Apr13) in aid of the organisation.

Fans are asked to stick up posters about Judd's challenge in a bid to win a meeting with the pop rockers, but charity executives have issued a warning about the problems of putting up flyers without permission.

A statement issued by the Teenage Cancer Trust reads, "Let your friends, family and colleagues know about the amazing challenges that the band's drummer, Harry Judd, is taking on for us... Download the flyer... and stick it up (with permission!) for people to see. Post a pic (sic) of it stuck up on our Facebook wall and we'll then pick a lucky winner to meet the band backstage at the Best of McFly tour show date of their choice!... Please note flyposting is illegal. Any illegally placed posters will not be included when we select the winner."
