Matt Damon not happy with President Barack Obama's job
Matt Damon is reconsidering voting for President Barack Obama in the upcoming election, because the actor is "disappointed" with the way the man he helped put in office four years ago is handling the country's financial crisis.
America has been struggling with a sluggish economy in recent years, prompting hundreds of people across the nation to speak out in protest of failing banks, corporate greed and high unemployment during the Occupy Wall Street movement last year (11).
Now The Departed star, who previously backed Democrat Obama's 2008
bid for the White House, has taken aim at the politician before
heading to the polls in November (12), insisting he has failed to
address the money problems at hand.
During an appearance at San Diego, California's fan convention
Comic-Con earlier this month (Jul12), he said, "I think Obama is
the clear choice. But I've said before I'm really disappointed in
him, and I am, particularly because of the banking stuff...
"I don't think the Republicans or the Democrats really understand
the level of anger at the sense of unfairness that the majority of
people in the country feel - the sense that we don't have a country
anymore when people don't feel like they have a chance... If people
feel like the deck is stacked against them, then they stop playing
by the rules. Because why play by the rules?"
Obama will be fighting to return to the White House for another
term in November (12) against Republican Mitt Romney.
