Mary J. Blige turned down Pink duet

Mary J. Blige turned down the chance to record a duet with Pink.

The singer has revealed she approached Mary and tried to convince her to join her in the studio back in 2000.

"I went in her trailer a long time ago, I think it was when I hosted the Lady of Soul Train or Soul Train Awards," the Trouble singer told the hosts of SiriusXM’s Morning Mashup. "I walked into her trailer and I was like, 'Hi, would you ever work with me?' She just took one look at me and she goes, 'No'. I go, 'OK! I love you, Mary! I'll see you again!'"

Pink revealed she left the trailer with even more respect for her idol, because Blige didn't string her along.

"That's what I love about her," she added. "I respect it, because so many people will be like, 'Yeah, call me!'"
