Mariah Carey's awkward onstage lap dance
Mariah Carey gave a man a very awkward lap dance onstage in South Africa.
Dressed in a black sequinned leotard showing off her svelte body, Mariah straddled dancer and choreographer Bryan Tanaka during her performance of song Touch My Body.
Bryan was brought onstage by his fellow dancers, blindfolded and
sat on a chair as Mariah dramatically tossed herself backwards and
from side to side as she sat in his lap.
Grabbing his hands to hold her she flung herself backwards so
violently, the dancers flanking Bryan reached out in fear she might
fall.
The lap dance was made that bit more awkward by the fact that the
dancer's left leg is heavily strapped because of an injury to his
patella.
The choreographer, who has worked with Beyonce, posted a picture on
Instagram with the caption: "bryantanaka I asked for a bag of ice
and got this... My offical diagnostic is a #FracturedPatella Out
for 4-6 weeks. It's unfortunate but you won't hear me complaining
too much. There's a lot to be grateful for. #Life (sic)".
Newly engaged Mariah was performing in Johannesburg at the final
show of her Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour. The 46-year-old ended the
European leg of the tour in Amsterdam last month (Apr16). But
things didn't go exactly to plan.
She took to the stage 45 minutes late telling the audience that she
had been held up due to celebrating her "dear friend's birthday".
Then her performance was interrupted by her complaints about the
electric fans that adorned the stage.
The mother-of-two has also been filming preparations for her tour
and life on the road for her highly anticipated reality show
Mariah's World.
"Mariah is looking forward to a break after travelling the world on
her tour," a source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "She’s
worked really hard and she has also had the cameras capturing every
detail backstage, too."
