Madonna to donate MDNA tour costumes for Sandy relief effort
Madonna is preparing to auction off a number of items used on her Mdna world tour to raise funds for those affected by Hurricane Sandy, according to reports.
The star is giving away her stage outfits including a majorette costume and a caged basque she wore during the record-breaking trek, report editors at the New York Post.
The Material Girl threw herself into the support effort for
communities left devastated by the October (12) superstorm, and she
visited the neighbourhood of Far Rockaway, New York to help relief
workers box up supplies for locals.
Her daughter Lourdes, who accompanied the singer on the visit,
blogged earlier this week (begs04Feb13) about how she was left
stunned by the amount of damage caused by the storm, likening the
devastation to "the apocalypse".
