Lindsay Lohan: 'Troubles have made me a better actress'
Lindsay Lohan has stunned fans by confessing she's grateful for all of her legal run-ins, prison and rehab stints, and personal woes in the past two years - because they have helped her perfect her acting.
The troubled star, who has been panned for her latest role as Elizabeth Taylor in upcoming TV movie Liz + Dick, admits she never has to worry about scenes in which she has to sob - because she just recalls one of many recent low points.
She tells the new issue of Us Weekly magazine, "(I regret) nothing,
because then I wouldn't have been able to cry in scenes at the drop
of a hat. I have it tattooed: 'Live Without Regrets'. I'm not
saying I wanted to go to a jail cell, but I've drawn from all of
it."
And now she's out to show her fiercest critics that she's got what
it takes to become a great actress: "I want to be known as an
actress, not a troubled starlet.
"People can think what they want, and the only thing I can do is
prove them wrong."
