Lindsay Lohan skips out on rehab

Lindsay Lohan is in big trouble after reportedly leaving a Newport Beach rehab facility in California after just a few minutes.

Reports suggest Lohan spent less than an hour at the Morningside Recovery treatment center, where she was to begin a court-ordered 90-day stint after violating her probation by lying to police officers following a 2012 traffic accident.

She initially checked in on Thursday morning (02May13) but left shortly after.

Santa Monica City Prosecutor Terry White has confirmed the Mean Girls star is no longer at the facility, stating, "Ms. Lohan is in violation of her probation, that much is clear."

White, who had objected to a last-minute change of rehab facilities during a court hearing on Thursday, has told the Los Angeles Times that he does not know Lohan's whereabouts.

The actress landed the 90-day rehab stint in lieu of another jail spell after pleading no contest to misdemeanour reckless driving and providing false information to police.

She was also sentenced to 30 days of community service and ordered to spend 18 months in psychotherapy.

In pleading no contest, Lohan admitted she had violated her probation in a 2011 shoplifting case.
