Lindsay Lohan's dad desperate to get her in rehab

Lindsay Lohan's dad is begging the troubled actress to give up her wild ways and check back into rehab after his daughter was arrested following a fight in a New York club early on Thursday morning (29Nov12).

The Mean Girls star was charged with third degree misdemeanour assault following the spat at Manhattan hotspot Club Avenue, and released, and now her estranged father Michael is urging his daughter to seek help.

He tells HollyScoop.com, "I just want her to go into rehab. I love her and I just want her to get the help she needs."

And in a bid to help speed up her decision making, Michael claims he has a spot waiting for her at the Betty Ford Clinic in California, where Lohan spent time in 2010.

She has also previously checked into the Cirque Lodge in Utah.

Meanwhile, Michael admits he's having trouble reaching his daughter following her latest arrest - because she is refusing to speak with him after he secretly recorded his phone call with Lindsay following her fight with her mom Dina in October (12) - and then released it to the media.

He adds, "I have called, but of course she has not picked up."
