Lindsay Lohan publicised relationship drama out of 'fear and sadness'
Lindsay Lohan has apologised for going public with her relationship problems, insisting she acted out of "fear and sadness".
The actress hit headlines over the weekend (22-24Jul16) after blasting her fiance, Egor Tarabasov, for allegedly cheating on her in a series of angry social media posts, in which she also hinted she was pregnant.
Police were also called to her London home in the early hours of
Saturday (23Jul16), when the Mean Girls star was filmed screaming
for help from her balcony, and accusing her Russian lover of trying
to strangle her.
No arrests were made, as cops determined no crime had been
committed, and on Monday (25Jul16), after jetting out of the U.K.,
Lindsay returned to Instagram and issued a plea for privacy so the
couple could "discuss our personal matters on our own".
Now the star has spoken out once again, making it clear she regrets
playing out her relationship drama online, while also assuring fans
she is doing OK.
"Dear friends. I'm good and well," she began the message, which was
accompanied by a photo of herself on a boat. "#ATM (at the moment)
I am taking time for myself with good friends.
"I am sorry that I've exposed certain private matters recently. I
was acting out of fear and sadness... We all make mistakes. Sadly
mine have always been so public. I have done a lot of soul
searching in the past years, and I should have been more clear
minded rather than distract from the good heart that I have."
Lindsay went on to insist she did not mean to "send mixed messages"
with her weekend posts about Egor's reported infidelity, and she
admitted she is unsure about her future with the 23-year-old.
"Maybe things can be fixed... Maybe not..," she added. "I hope they
can. But I am 30 years old and I do deserve a #GENTLEgiant (sic)
Life is about love and light. Not anger... Thank you to those who
stand by my side."
Lindsay's latest Instagram statement emerges hours after her
representative revealed the actress had urged Egor to undergo anger
management therapy. Meanwhile, he was photographed moving his
belongings out of his fiancee's London apartment on Tuesday morning
(26Jul16).
