Lindsay Lohan & Eva Longoria send prayers to Boston Marathon blast victims
Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria and Lil Wayne have offered their thoughts and prayers to those injured after two mysterious explosions rocked the Boston Marathon route in Massachusetts on Monday (15Apr13).
Hours after Ethiopia's Lelisa Desisa and Kenya's Rita Jeptoo won the men and women's race, runners were still crossing the finish line when two blasts sent debris into the air and flattened a stand full of spectators, injuring 28 people and leaving at least two dead.
As news footage took over TV networks across America, worried Lohan
took to Twitter.com to share her thoughts, writing in a post,
"Sending prayers to everyone who was/is at the
#bostonmarathon."
Rapper Lil Wayne was also watching the news unfold and tweeted:
"Prayers for Boston," while actress Chloe Moretz added, "Boston
marathon, absolutely terrifying I hope everyone is okay... Horrific
things happening in the world today. God bless those who have died
and are injured."
Longoria was shocked by the news reports, too. She tweeted: "God
Bless everyone in Boston... God be with the injured people!" Others
offering their thoughts and prayers include Kelly Osbourne, Josh
Duhamel and British singer/songwriter Billy Bragg, who is on tour
in America.
Meanwhile, New Kids on the Black star Joey McIntyre has revealed he
was caught up in the chaos following the blasts, after crossing the
finish line minutes before the incident.
The Boston native tweets, "There was an explosion by the finish
line about 5 minutes after I finished - I'm ok but I'm sure there
are many hurt."
McIntyre included a self-taken photo of himself finishing the
race.
