Lily Allen: 'Husband is too good for me'

British pop star Lily Allen is still amazed she is a married woman as she feels her husband Sam Cooper is too good for her.

The pair wed in 2011 after getting together at British music festival Glastonbury in 2009, and they have since had daughters Ethel, two, and Marnie, 18 months.

However, Allen is still overwhelmed by life as a wife as she can't believe she has landed such a perfect man.

The Smile hitmaker tells Australian TV show Today, "I still don't feel worthy of my husband, you know, he's an amazing person and I'm very lucky to even have contact with someone like that, never mind be married to them and have children with them."

Allen also insists she had no intention of relaunching her career last year (13) until Cooper pointed out she was missing a creative outlet, adding, "It never occurred to me, because I was yearning for something but I didn't really know what it was. It was only when my husband said, 'Maybe you need to write again, maybe you need to have that form of expression.' I was like, 'Really? Well, okay,' and I tried it, and it worked. That made me feel better."
