Lena Dunham wants small wedding party

Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff don't plan on having bridesmaids and groomsmen at their wedding.

The Girls creator and her musician partner have been together for four years and have publically discussed their desire to get married. They had originally wanted to wait until same-sex marriage became legal in the U.S., but after it became law last year (15), Lena realized she wasn't quite ready to walk down the aisle just yet.

However, she has been thinking about what her big day would be like and the couple have decided they don't want a traditional wedding party of bridesmaids and groomsmen, and would prefer to have just Jack's sister Rachel and Lena's sister Grace in unconventional attire at their nuptials.

"Jack and I have talked about it and we've always said that when we get married we want our wedding party to just be our two sisters in tuxedos," she told Pridesource.com. "Jack has a straight sister, I have a queer sister; they'd be our best men / women and we'll call it a day. That's our dream."

Lena, 30, refers to Jack, 32, as her "partner" because he isn't simply her boyfriend and she feels like she is "kind of down with the queer community" using the term.

She jokingly told Jack to "get on it" and propose following the legalization of same-sex marriage but he wasn't enthusiastic about the idea, leading her to question if getting hitched straight away was the right idea.

"The fact is that wanting everyone to have the right to marry and wanting to be married are two very different things," she wrote in an essay for The New Yorker Magazine in July, 2015.

"But it turns out that what I was waiting for was not the chance to marry but the chance to think about marriage on an even playing field, in a world where its relevance is a little harder to question and its essence a little harder to reject."
