Lance Bass engaged to model boyfriend

Singer Lance Bass is heading down the aisle after proposing to his boyfriend.

The star popped the question to aspiring actor/model Michael Turchin during a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana for the Labor Day holiday weekend (30Aug13-02Sep13) - and his beau said yes.

Turchin hinted at the big news on Saturday (31Aug13) when he took to Twitter.com to write, "Happiest guy in the world", while Bass confirmed the news on Sunday (01Sep13) by sharing a photo of the happy couple on his Instagram.com page, in which he is snapped pointing to his partner's new ring, alongside the caption, "He said YES!! Love this man".

A source tells UsMagazine.com, "They're such a great couple, everyone is so happy for them. Their friends and family are thrilled."

The proposal will give Bass another reason to celebrate following his brief reunion with his former 'N SYNC bandmates at last weekend's (25Aug13) MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

The singer, who announced he was gay in 2006, began dating Turchin in December, 2011.
