Kristen Wiig passes on lucrative Bridesmaids sequel

Kristen Wiig has ruled out a follow-up to her smash hit comedy Bridesmaids after turning down a big money deal to write a sequel.
The funnywoman's film about a doomed bachelorette party was a surprise hit at the box office, raking in $288 million worldwide following its release in 2011.
The cast, including Melissa McCarthy and Maya Rudolph, have both
voiced their desire to return for a second movie, but Wiig reveals
she snubbed a sequel offer - despite being in line for a huge pay
day.
She tells Harper's Bazaar, "It wasn't a hard decision. We knew
during the first one, this was it. We would have made a lot of
money if there was a second one, but that's not my goal in my
creative life."
