Kim Kardashian seeks Kanye West's approval on new perfume
Kim Kardashian seeks out Kanye West's approval before wearing a new perfume.
The reality TV star has recently unveiled a set of three fragrances as part of her KKW Beauty line, with the scents based around the elegant white gardenia flower.
While Kim is very interested in different types of perfume, she has now revealed that she consults with her rapper husband whenever she is testing a new product as he has very distinct views.
"If there is a fragrance he doesn't like on me, he'll ask me not to wear it anymore," she told Cosmopolitan.com. "There's even been people working with me and he'll ask me to ask them to stop wearing that particular scent because it smells bad. He's like, 'When you're at work that's super distracting,' which I actually appreciate and totally get."
Kim's perfume line features KKW Crystal Gardenia, KKW Crystal Gardenia Citrus and KKW Crystal Gardenia Oud. The scents are packaged in crystal-shaped flacons, with the 37-year-old explaining that she prefers to wear perfumes with floral and sweet heart notes.
"I would say I smell like jasmine, gardenia, and coconut all the time - like a light vacation," the star smiled.
But like Kanye, Kim also has some scents that she simply cannot stand. In particular, she avoids anything with grapefruit scents in the formula.
"I don’t really like grapefruit scents because they smell like B.O. (body odour) to me. So I don’t like when I have a grapefruit hand sanitiser or something - they’ve been doing that scent a lot in make-up brush cleansers and I just hate the smell," she said.
