Kim Kardashian failed to find rare Yeezy sneakers for Jesse Tyler Ferguson

Jesse Tyler Ferguson was left disappointed after Kim Kardashian could not help him acquire rare sneakers designed by Kanye West to gift to the actor's husband for his birthday.

The Modern Family star's partner, Justin Mikita, recently celebrated his 30th birthday, and to mark the milestone, Ferguson wanted to surprise him with the hip-hop star's popular Yeezy sneakers, which are notoriously hard to find.

However, Ferguson knwos hairstylist Jen Atkin, who is part of the "Kardashian glam squad". He recalled his extensive search for the footwear to comedienne Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show on Wednesday (16Sep15), saying, "My friend Jen was literally on the phone with Kim Kardashian.

"And I was like, 'I need a size 11 of the snow-white, gray sneaker', and she was like, 'Okay, Kim's going in the back room to see if she can find that.'

"And I just pictured Kim in a (shoe retailer) Foot Locker outfit going in the backroom to find a size. And she's like, 'OK, I have a (size) 13 and I have a 14 and I have them in black,' And I'm like, 'No, I need the gray!'

"She's like, OK let me go back and look again - literally Kim Kardashian is looking for these shoes for me and they come up dry."

However Kim did not give up on the mission, and decided to call on her elder sister Kourtney to help in the search, as Ferguson added, "They're like, 'OK, we're gonna call Kourtney next and it was literally the Kardashian clan looking to find shoes for my husband. They couldn't even help me out!"

In the end, the Ferguson decided to go another route, admitting, "I ended up going on (online auction site) eBay. I'm sure I paid too much for them... listen, it wasn't 'Yeezy'."
